These measurement task cards will have students measure both rainbows using an inch ruler and compare the measurements using subtraction. Give your students practice comparing length measurements and writing equations using these 12 task cards. Use during March math centers or as a St. Patrick’s Day activity! These measurement task cards are great for scoots around the room, math centers, or partner activities.

- CCSS.2.MD.A.1 – Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.
- CCSS.2.MD.A.4 – Measure to determine how much longer one object is than another, expressing the length difference in terms of a standard length unit.
