Are you looking for place value math centers for your upper elementary students? This place value activity pack includes tons of resources that are perfect for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math groups. These place value activities give students the chance to practice working with LARGER numbers including hundreds, thousands, millions, and billions.
You can use these place value resources as part of a math centers rotation. Your students will benefit from practicing skills such as rounding, identifying the value of digits, and ordering numbers. The variety of activities will provide students with multiple opportunities for practice and place value review.

Number Sense Card Game: Pick a number from one stack and complete the directions given on the direction card. (Ex: Add 1,000, round to the nearest million, etc.)
Place Value Craft: Create a place value ‘neighborhood’ to better understand the value of hundreds, thousands, and millions.

Standards Targeted:
- 3.NBT.A.1 – Use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
- 4.NBT.A.3 – Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place.
- 4.NBT.A.1, 5.NBT.A. – Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.
